The OBBBA brings significant shifts to Qualified Opportunity Zone (QOZ) strategies, introducing a rolling five-year deferral period for investments made on or after January 1, 2027. Rather than adhering to a strict fixed deadline, taxpayers now recognize deferred gains on the fifth anniversary of their investment.
